In the U.S.: – The top 1% — who earn primarily from ownership — control over 30% of national wealth. – From 1989 to 2019, the bottom 90% saw their wealth grow by just 22%, while the top 1% gained 160%. – The S&P 500 averages ~9.5% returns annually. – Median wage growth since 1979? Barely 0.3% per year, adjusted for inflation.
